Booking

What's included in the price?

The price of your stay at The Camp includes:
– The use of your tent for the period of your stay
РAccess to The Wave site, including the grounds, Clubhouse, surf shop, caf̩-bar and food pop-ups for the duration of your stay.
– Duvets, pillows and bed linen.
– Basic cooking equipment.
– A starter pack of wood for the Wood Burning Stove.

– We do not provide towels or tea towels.
– Activities at The Wave, including surf lessons and surf sessions are not included.

Are any surf sessions included when booking accommodation?

Surf lessons and surf sessions are not included in your booking for The Camp. You can book your surf lesson or surf session at www.thewave.com. We will make every effort to ensure there are surf slots available for The Camp residents however they do get snapped up pretty quickly, so make sure you book your preferred sessions as soon as you know when you’re coming to stay with us.  

Can I pay a deposit?

Full payment for your stay is due at the time of booking. We accept payment by all major credit and debit cards.

Can I use The Wave Gift Vouchers as payment for a booking at The Camp.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept The Wave Gift Vouchers as payment for bookings at The Camp.

Is there a minimum age to make a booking?

You can only make a booking at The Camp if you are 18 years or older. Where the majority of a party are under the age of 18, there must be sufficient capable and responsible adults of 18 years or above to supervise, with a minimum of one adult per tent. The supervising adults must remain either on site or at The Camp for the duration of the stay and accept responsibility for all underage guests in their care.

All guests under the age of 18 remain the responsibility of their parents or supervising adult at all times whilst on The Wave site or at The Camp.

Do you do single night stays?

From 2023 we no longer have a minimum nights stay.

Check In and Check Out

What time is check in?

You may check in at The Gatehouse at any time during our opening hours on the day of your arrival (please check www.thewave.com for up-to-date opening hours). Your tent will be available from 4:00pm. You must check in at The Gatehouse by 8:00pm at the latest. Please contact the Customer Services Team at least 24 hours in advance of your arrival if you will be arriving after 8:00pm.

How do I check in?

Make your way over to our Gatehouse to let them know you have arrived. Once you have spoken to the team at the Gatehouse, you will be able to drive down to our Campsite to drop off your luggage. A member of the Camp team will be on hand to check you in and assist you to your tent. Once you have unloaded, please return your vehicle to our main car park within your 20 minute allocated check in window. Just as a heads up, there is a 15 minute walk from the main car park back to the Camp.

Where do I park?

Please park in the main car park.

What time do I check out?

Check out is at 10:00am on your day of departure.

The Tents

Is there a cot?

We can provide a cot with linen at an additional cost of £5. Please add this to your booking.

Is there a highchair?

We can provide a highchair, please add this to your booking.

Can I bring my own BBQ?

You are not able to use any cooking equipment not provided by The Wave in the tents, on the decking or anywhere else in The Camp or on the site. We dot allow any naked flames such as candles, Chinese lanterns or fireworks.

Do I need to bring my own linen?

Duvets, sheets and pillows and bed linen will be provided for you in the tents. Please bring your own towels.

Do I need to bring my own towels?

Towels, including tea towels, are not provided. Please bring your own.

Is there somewhere secure to place valuables?

Safes are available in all tents, however as The Camp is a campsite, we strongly recommend that you do not bring valuable items with you.

Can you bring your own alcohol?

The sensible consumption of alcohol is permitted at The Camp, but please remember that we are inclusive, family-friendly venue. The excessive consumption of alcohol will not be tolerated. Glass is not permitted in The Camp or on Site, except for wine bottles, which must be stored and disposed of responsibly.

Is there electricity in the tents?

Yes there is electricty and lighting in the tents.

Is there a shower in the tents?

No – but there are new purpose-built shower facilities nearby.

Are the tents heated?

Each tent is equipped with a wood burning stove for heating purposes. A starter pack of logs will be provided on arrival and additional logs are available to purchase on site. Please only use logs provided or purchased from The Wave in the wood burning stoves. The wood burning stove should not be used for cooking under any circumstances.

If you are visiting us in colder months we do suggest bringing warm clothes and extra blankets.

Can I smoke in the tent

Smoking (including e-cigarettes and vaping) and naked flames are not permitted in any of the tents at The Camp. Smoking is only permitted in designated areas of the site. Please ask a member of staff if you are unsure.

Is there wifi?

There is WIFI on site.

Can we choose which tent we want?

Tents will be designated by our team prior to your arrival. Any requests made will be subject to availability.

Is there a fridge?

Each tent has a small fridge.

Can you pitch a tent for additional guests?

At this time, this is not an option.

On Site

Are dogs allowed onsite?

Unfortunately we are not able to allow dogs or other pets at The Wave, with the exception of Service or Assistance dogs.

Can I spend cash on site or is it only contactless?

We only able to accept contactless / card payment.

Are meals included?

No meals are included in your accommodation booking.

Other

Where is the nearest supermarket?

We have a small selection of essentials for you on site. Alternatively there is a farm shop near The Wave carpark, as well as Asda and Morrisons supermarkets a short drive away at Cribbs Causeway.

My surf session has been cancelled due to bad weather, will my booking at The Camp also be cancelled?

If we need to cancel your booking we will do everything we can to notify you as soon as possible. If your booking is cancelled by us, we hope that you will support The Wave by accepting or rescheduling your booking, but please contact the Customer Services Team if you wish to discuss a refund instead.

In the event of adverse weather, your booking at The Camp will only be refunded if we notify you that The Camp is closed. You will not be entitled to a refund for your booking at The Camp if an activity at The Wave (including a surf session or lesson) is cancelled for any reason, including adverse weather conditions, if The Camp remains open.
